Bronco News: Welcome Back!
*First Day of School - Tuesday, Sept. 7th, 2021
8:45 - 11:47
*Check ClassDojo daily for pictures, classroom happenings, and work that may not have been completed in class.
Everyday Reminders:
*School starts at 8:50 am and ends at 3:40 each day. First bell rings at 8:45
Arrival and Breakfast - 5th grade students line up outside our classroom door at the side of the school (Door 18), after they are dropped off at the front of the school. Breakfast will be served at the beginning of class during morning work. If students are not in before school care, please do not drop them off before 8:30. This is especially imperative on rainy or cold days. I will either be attending to my own children's morning routine or I will be busy getting our classroom ready for the day. If you are in need of before school or after school care, please visit the office for more information about the program.
Parking Lot Safety - Please be patient in our school area so that all students, staff, and visitors are safe.
Water Bottles - It is healthy for our bodies to be hydrated and it helps our brains learn when we are hydrated. The water fountains at the school will be open. However, the school now has in place 2 amazing water bottle filling stations. Please consider sending your child with a water bottle that they can fill up and use. This is good way to keep hydrated and to avoid using a shared drinking fountain.
Birthdays - Birthdays are special for everyone. We wat to celebrate your child's birthday with them. We will accept birthday treats that are sent from home to be shared in the classroom. The treats to be shared in the classroom must be store bought and individually wrapped. This change is for food safety (allergies) so that we have record of what ingredients are in the food/treat that will be served. Unfortunately, if the treats are not store bought or individually wrapped, they will not be served. We hope you understand and we look forward to celebrating your child's special day.
*Note: We are NUT FREE Classroom. Please make sure all treats are nut free.
Scholastic Book Orders will be sent home monthly. They will be due at the end of each month. Due to Covid, please order your child's books online using our classroom code: HB94K.
Cell Phones - Students may bring cell phones to school on a daily basis, but it is at their own risk. I nor the school is responsible if the phone is lost or stolen. During school, the phone must remain off and in your child's backpack. If a student decides to keep their phone on or in their pocket during the day, a parent will have to come and retrieve it from the office or their teacher.
